Campus Tutoring

Get free peer-to-peer learning support.

Undergraduate and graduate tutors are available for one-to-one or small-group consultations on course assignments, writing projects, problem sets, exam preparation, and general study skills for courses in all six colleges, including foundational courses in each department and key subject areas like written communication, mathematics, statistics, biology, and engineering. Tutoring services at the Learning Support Center are FREE for all Cal Poly students.

To view our current course coverage for one-to-one tutoring appointments, visit the tutoring schedule (log in required). If the course or subject for which you need assistance is not listed on the tutor schedule, fill out a Learning Support Request form and a staff member will contact you.

Review our Frequently Asked Questions page for more detailed information about our tutoring services.

Get connected with a tutor.

The Center's free, collaborative consultations are student-driven, which means that the learning experience is propelled by the specific questions and individual needs a student brings to a tutoring session. As a result, the Learning Support Center offers a unique space on campus dedicated to student-centered learning.

Tutoring is available in person at four locations on campus and online via Zoom. The main tutoring hub is located at Learning Support Center in the Robert E. Kennedy Library (Building 35), Room 209. Booking tutoring appointments in advance is recommended, but drop-in, last-minute appointments are also possible as availability allows.
